Mini Tandoori Halloumi Bites

Ingredients:

  • Mini Naan (StoneFire Brand)

  • Halloumi cheese, sliced

  • Lettuce

  • 1 small Tomato, sliced

  • 1 small Red onion, sliced

  • 3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp dhana jeera powder

  • ½ tsp turmeric

  • 1 tbsp kashmiri red chili

  • ½ tsp chaat masala

  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala

  • 1 tsp kasoori methi

  • 1 tsp black pepper powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Mini toothpick (optional)


For Sriracha Mayonnaise sauce:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 4-5 tbsp sriracha sauce

Method:

  1. In a small mixing bowl add in the olive oil with all the spices and mix well.

  2. Take halloumi cheese out of the container and drain the extra liquid out, slicing 1 inch thick pieces rectangle shaped.

  3. Spread the halloumi cheese onto a long tray or plate and brush on the marinade well onto each piece. Turn the cheese and brush the other side. Let marinade sit for 30-45 mins.

  4. In a non-stick pan add in 1 tbsp of olive oil and put in the marinated halloumi cheese slices. Let cook for 4-5 mins on medium heat on both sides and take it out on a plate.Take the mini naan bites and put on the pan for a quick minute to warm up.

  5. Take one slice of naan and spread a generous amount of sriracha mayo. Then layer with halloumi cheese, tomato, onion, and top with another slice of naan. Stick on a toothpick to keep mini bites together.
